Skintegra Lumion is a potent liquid exfoliant in the form of a toner based on AHA and PHA acids.

The smart formulation in which the main star is the 6.58% AHA + PHA acid complex (pH 3.6) makes this minimalist multi-tasker a bestseller for skin prone to irregularities.

Due to its oil-free, glycerin-based liquid formulation, it is ideal for use on all skin types with textural and pigmentation irregularities and comedones.

Formulated with combination of 5% AHA acids (lactic and glycolic) and 1.58% PHA acids (in the form of gluconolactone), Skintegra Lumion effectively removes dead cells of the surface layer of the skin, softens rough skin revealing a new, healthier complexion and evens out hyperpigmentation irregularities.

In addition to AHA and PHA complexes that restore the surface layer of the skin and purify clogged pores, Lumion is enriched with glycerin that moisturizes without a heavy feeling, and the obligatory panthenol and oat extract that soothe the skin considering that this is a potent product whose purpose is exfoliation.

Lumion is formulated as a minimalist transformer - without the addition of unnecessary irritants that further irritate the skin and comes in a practical, recyclable and hygienic glass packaging (100 ml).

How to use

In the evening, after cleansing, apply a small amount of exfoliant to a cotton ball or cosmetic pad and gently, without pulling, wipe the face avoiding the area around the eyes, and immediately continue with the usual skincare. A short-term tingling sensation is quite common, and in the first stages of use it is also possible to experience transient redness that subsides within half an hour after use. Due to the medium-intensity exfoliation effect, Lumion is not recommended for frequent use on extremely sensitive and thin skin, but it is recommended to apply it in a thin, conservative layer at most once to twice a week, with daily application of a sunscreen. Do not apply Lumion on damaged or compromised skin, or on skin with a vascular defect such as rosacea.

Frequently asked questions

I already use Clarion. Do I also need Lumion?

In contrast to Clarion, which primarily acts inside the pore and regulates inflammation-type irregularities, Lumion is designed for surface skin problems, primarily spots, dyspigmentation, and for skin that notices the first signs of aging (tired, without healthy color, slightly impaired tone and radiance). Skin suffering from chronic irregularities such as acne and comedones will have a better effect with Clarion. Lumion, on the other hand, will prefer skins that are normal to dry, with an uneven tone; skin with the first shallow wrinkles and enlarged pores caused by the breakdown of collagen.

Can Lumion be used by complete beginners with acids?

Provided that you meet all the conditions for using Lumion (skin that is not very sensitive, skin that does not have vascular diseases such as rosacea and that is not damaged - injured or compromised by previous treatments such as mechanical facial cleansing, laser treatments, etc.), you are free to use Lumion even if you are a complete beginner in using acids. In this case, you will almost certainly feel slight burning and temporary redness, because it is a medium-strength peeling in a very acidic medium, formulated without any buffers that would slow down the effect of acids. You will see an exceptional effect literally overnight, but do not forget that Skintegra strongly recommends that Lumion is not used more often than 2X a week in the initial phase. To reduce the risk of irritation, you should not use products that contain irritants such as intense perfume, essential oils and denatured alcohol, or additional products based on strong active ingredients such as AHA and BHA acids, and preparations with transretinoic acid or retinol, directly after Lumion.

Can I expect a purging phase with Lumion?

If you have never used acids before, and you have parts of your face with irregularities, it is quite possible that at the first time of use (just like with Clarion or topical retinoids) you will experience a skin purging phase. If you have recently used acids or retinoids continuously for at least 6 weeks, you will probably not reach the stage of purging with Lumion.

Can I practice contact therapy with Lumion?

Yes. In case you are very sensitive to AHA acids (the skin remains red and stings for more than half an hour), you can try Lumion in the form of contact therapy, at least until you get used to more consistent use. This means that you apply it to a clean face, leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then wash off before proceeding with the rest of your skincare to neutralize the acid.
