Dehydrated skin
Dehydration occurs through transepidermal moisture loss caused by insufficient hydration and drying of the skin's hydrolipid barrier by improper cleansing, but also by excessive exfoliation. We need to supply the skin with the necessary level of moisture using humectants, such as hyaluronic acid, glycerol and panthenol. Humectants are ingredients that attract and bind water to skin cells, maintaining moisture and preventing transepidermal moisture loss.
